Pysanky – The Art of Egg Dyeing

12 to 3 p.m.

Pysanky is the art of egg designing and dyeing practiced traditionally in Eastern Europe. Practice the Ukrainian folk art of Pysanky under teacher Patty WiszukDeAngelo, an award winning Pysanky artist.

Attendees will learn division of the egg, drawing of designs, use of kistka, techniques of wax and resist method, dyeing process, technique of drilling eggs, removing wax and finishing methods. This three hour class is $30 per person and includes materials. Advance registration is required.
