6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Join us to celebrate the Jacobus Vanderveer House’s exciting new exhibition, an interactive model and video of The Pluckemin Cantonment, America’s 1st Military Academy! Honor the Revolutionary War heroes trained right here in our own backyard, by supporting an exhibit that will educate our community to their sacrifice.
The model maker, Stephen Schwab, will be available to answer questions you may have about the construction of the model. Schwab, a professional model maker, was raised in Somerville, is a graduate of Somerville High School and Rutgers University. His heritage includes relatives who fought with George Washington in the French and Indian War and in the American Revolution. The JVH is thrilled to have a local model maker working on our Cantonment Model!
Schwab will be on hand to answer questions about the model.
All proceeds benefit the Jacobus Vanderveer House.
The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, colonial drinks, open wine and beer bar, and an opportunity to meet and talk with the model maker, Stephen Schwab.
Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased here.
Pre-registration is required.
Proceeds from the event will support the general operations of the
historic Jacobus Vanderveer House.
